Hopefully this little bio will change over time, but I feel the need to put something up right away.

I am a bus driver in Seattle. No, not a school bus! I drive the lovely streets of Seattle for Metro, which is our county public transportation.

I intend to remain anonymous, not because I feel the need to hide, but because I don't want to find myself censoring my writings or subject matter because of concern for others feelings or the safety of my job. I'm going to try to be candid about my experiences.

Let's be clear at the outset. These are my experiences and no one else's. Obviously I don't represent King County Metro in any way other than as a driver. I'm sure they would love it if I didn't write anything here. Don't blame them for my writing or thinking, 'k?

Also, it's obvious but I still feel compelled to mention, I don't represent other drivers either! There is a huge range of experience (newbies to 30 years on the job), demographic, personal feelings, skill level, personal history, and even candor, out there driving around in Metro buses. I wouldn't presume for a moment to talk for any of these people. They are unique, and they are quite capable of talking for themselves.

If I have left clues (or do so in the future) about my identity, I would love it if you dropped me an email to let me know so I can edit th information. It just feels better if I remain one step back from the light in this journal. Thanks!
